WDFW Fishing Rule Change
Action: The sport clam and oyster fishing season on Duckabush beach will be closed based on a classification change by the Washington Department of Health.
Effective dates: Sept. 13, 2017 through Oct. 31, 2017
Species affected: All clams and oysters
Locations: Duckabush
Reason for action: A comprehensive review of pollution conditions and marine water quality data has prompted the Department of Health to change its classification for Duckabush. The beach will be classified as “Conditionally Open,” with an annual harvest closure from May 1 through Oct. 31 each year.
